I want to spend more quality time with you this year. As I let myself dream of the most rich and fulfilling ways to spend time together, there’s not a whole lot that would delight me more than…
soul work + astrology exploration + ritual + introspection + expressive arts + meaningful sharing + relationship building

I definitely don’t consider myself an astrologer, but I’ve done several deep dives over the years — and this last dip into the cosmic soup was a real blast. I’m finally actually understanding the birth chart (planets, signs, houses, aspects) and am really jazzed about how, in particular, some of the lesser looked at placements hold potent information about our soul’s unique journey this time around.
I yearn to embody this wisdom deep in my bones, and engage in creative ritual processes to meet the current edges of my becoming and OUR becoming. I believe creating sacred space with you all on a monthly basis in this way would be incredibly sweet, meaningful, and illuminating — and offer something that many of us couldn’t (or wouldn’t) do alone.
Shortly after our Ancestor Ritual Gathering in November, this monthly astrology group began to stir me — and I am really eager to see how it unfolds. More deets below. Would love to know what arises for you as you feel into it — text me!

how it works

each month there will be a different planetary placement of focus in the birth chart. placements in the queue are: lunar nodes, chiron, part of fortune, venus, mars, mercury, moon, progressed moon, pluto, and midheaven. (am i missing one of your favs?)

we’ll have the entire month to engage in self-study of the specific placement. self-study meaning: your own research. for each placement, i will be providing a few initial resources, such as books, podcasts, videos or articles — as well as reflection questions. i will make sure you have access to your birth chart, know your unique placement for the month, and have basic info about how the birth chart works if needed. go as light or as deep as you want into your research. you might also consider asking your loved ones if you could run their birth chart so you can study their placements as well!

our month will end with an online Zoom gathering on the last monday evening of the month (7-9pm CT) for our creative exploration ritual and integration! i imagine this will include any of the following: check-in, invocation, song, expressive arts type process (movement, writing, drawing), sharing. this is not a time to learn about your placement. please come “stewed” in your own research and ready to integrate it into your being.

at the beginning of the month, decide if you’ll journey with us, which includes self-study and the online gathering. you can do this by registering on my website. those who register will receive the month’s info packet and Zoom link. when we know who is committing to the month, we can feel our little constellation and know who we’ll be engaging in ritual with.

i imagine this group will be most interesting to those who are somewhat familiar with their birth chart and/or keep up with astrology to some extent, but who feel slightly fragmented in their understanding of it. the format of focusing on just one placement per month can be a nice, slow pace for really understanding and integrating the wisdom of that placement (planet, sign, house, and aspect) — in a way that will stick long-term ;) i also imagine this group will be most interesting to those who enjoy creativity or want to spend more time in process-art for inner and outer inquiry and communication. lastly, i imagine this group will be most interesting to those who sense their self and life path are informed and guided by streams beyond themselves (cosmic, ancestral, soul, past life, etc.) this group should also be accessible to total astrology beginners.

rather than examining the birth chart to understand personality traits or concerns of the ego, a soul-centered perspective aims to take a deeper, more reverent approach to the human experience. it recognizes the birth chart as a unique and sacred blueprint that was imprinted in our bodies at birth. our lives are an energetic timestamp of that moment. aligning with the birth chart is aligning with the evolution that our soul’s chose to live out this time around. my felt-sense understanding of soul has primarily come from my regular soul mentoring sessions with carolyn griffeth over the last two years, as well as my time in ‘a year in ceremony’ with earthkeeper wisdom school. i don’t expect to teach on soul, rather i intend to practice orienting us to soul — seeing and reflecting back the threads of soul that make themselves present for those in our group.

francis weller defines ritual in this way: “ritual is any gesture done with emotion and intention by an individual or a group that attempts to connect the individual or the community with transpersonal energies for the purposes of healing and transformation.”
my understanding of ritual is informed by my time in ‘a year in ceremony’ with earthkeeper wisdom school. an essential part is setting sacred space and seeking to be in relationship with the web of life to be with us during our ritual action which often has the intention in alignment with the natural way of things, healing and transformation for all. as a beginner ritualist, i look forward to practicing this intuitive craft during our monthly gathering.

outside of the monthly ritual gatherings on Zoom, i plan to create a group chat. i seek your input on a preferred platform! if/when you register below, i ask for your preferences on the form. i imagine this group chat being a place where we share bits about what were inspired by, what’s resonating, new insights, and resources. what arises in the group chat might also help me tailor the creative ritual process we’ll engage in.
